Maryland Institute for Dance Welcomes Aspiring Dancers to Audition for School’s Open House Showcase

Auditions August 4, 6 to 8 p.m. at Liz Lerman Dance Exchange in Takoma Park, MD

 

WHO: Maryland Institute for Dance (MID), new 501c3 dance school providing scholarships and instruction for dancers and choreographers

 

WHAT: Auditions for MID’s Open House Showcase on August 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Clinton Library

 

WHEN: August 4, 6 to 8 p.m.

 

WHERE: Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, 7117 Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912

 

Dancers may audition to perform an original/already-choreographed dance routine for MID’s showcase on August 28. Please bring music and other necessary audition materials. Song selections for auditions must also be used for showcase. Maryland Institute for Dance needs to see the choreography in its entirety during the audition process. About MID

The Maryland Institute for Dance is a traveling non-profit dance school created in 2010. Our mission is to provide quality dance education, to develop outstanding, goal-oriented and purpose-driven performers and highly sought-after dance instructors. The Maryland Institute for Dance supports the goals of young performers by providing scholarships for students to attend MID and also higher and private learning institutions. Clients/students include children ages 3 to 17 and adults who aim to perfect their dance or choreography skills or who desire to use dance as a fitness regime. Classes begin in September 2010.
