“Love and Liv Music, Featuring C. Love” on April 30 at Liv Nightclub
with Performances by Messiah, Tamika Love Jones, Gods’illa and Green Tea
(Washington, DC) – On April 30, a musical lineup like no other hits Liv Nightclub in Washington, DC. “Love and Liv Music: Featuring C. Love” will be a powerful soul music concert fused with hip-hop, reggae and R & B, with performances by C. Love with Jacob Soul and Big Duff, Messiah, Tamika Love Jones, Gods’illa and Green Tea. Presented by Luvydub Productions and the Adinkra Group, “Love and Liv Music: Featuring C. Love” is the place for true lovers and fans of real, authentic music. Doors open at 7:30; the show begins at 8:30 p.m.
C. Love is a songwriter and guitarist who grew up in a household full of musicians, who performed and recorded reggae and soul music, often inspired by music legends like Al Green, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. On April 30, C. Love will perform songs from his album “Can’t Hold Me Down,” released in 2007, tracks from his upcoming LP, to be released this year, and his personal favorites. His performance will be a collection of heartfelt, soul-driven songs representing the many experiences of the human journey through life.
“C. Love is one of the most prolific song writers in the DMV. His music is spiritual, moving and most importantly, all about love,” said President of the Adinkra Group Diallo Sumbry, a Washington DC-based entrepreneur. “The line up for this show is 100 percent pure raw talent. I can guarantee these performances will move you.”
Also performing are hip-hop and soul artists Gods’illa, Messiah, Tamika Love Jones, and Green Tea.

Tigerlily Foundation Presents 2nd Annual DIVA Night Out on May 15
Annual Fundraiser to Support Young Women Living with Breast Cancer
Omarosa, Cynné Simpson, and Paul Wharton to Serve as Celebrity Co-Hosts
(Washington, DC ) – Spring is here, and the Tigerlily Foundation is gearing up for the highly anticipated 2nd Annual “DIVA Night Out” on Saturday, May 15, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the luxurious and upscale Mandarin Oriental Hotel (1330 Maryland Avenue, SW). The event, which will feature a VIP Pink Carpet entrance, will be co-hosted by Omarosa from “The Apprentice,” ABC7/WJLA-TV news anchor Cynné Simpson and model coach/style expert Paul Wharton.
D.I.V.A., which stands for “Divine Inspired Vivacious Aware,” is a celebration of young women who are survivors of breast cancer. The event will include a celebrity pamper room, silent auction, guest swag bags, a variety of vendors and a fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors as models. Featured designers for the evening will include Korto Momolu, Belafigura, Aidah, KAS Collection INC., Kustom Looks Clothier, L’Shandi, Tashia Senn, Ibhana Collection and accessories by belle bonne.
“It’s thrilling to be celebrating survivorship and raising awareness about young women with breast cancer,” said Maimah Karmo, founder of the Tigerlily Foundation. “Each year, 11,000 young women are diagnosed, and more than 1,100 are losing their lives, often due to late or missed diagnoses. It’s critical that we continue our fundraising efforts, which will help educate and provide vital support to young women affected by breast cancer.”
